Further to the submission of a proposal to the Institute for Apprenticeships to develop a degree apprenticeship standard for Public Health Practitioner we are delighted to announce that the proposal has been approved.

An employer led Trailblazer group will now take forward the drafting of the Degree Apprenticeship Standard and accompanying end-point assessment plan.

Once ready for wider consultation, an online survey will be available on our consultations page. Further communications are planned to let you know when the consultation is open.

Chair of the Trailblazer Fiona Harris, Public Health and Well-being Royal Borough of Greenwich said: “The Trailblazer Group for Public Health Practitioners are delighted that the Expression of Interest for the Apprenticeship has been approved. We have great ambition that these apprenticeships will offer a career pathway for aspiring public health professionals and enable employers to grow and develop the public health workforce, retaining staff and delivering good public health outcomes into the future. We are looking forward to working together to develop the standard.”
